Partnering and establishing orphanages, orphan centres, and children's homes in Asia and Africa, Orfund have worked to rescue and care for needy orphans since 1983.
 
Orfund partners run homes where the children (most of whom have lost both parents) are supported physically and emotionally in every way.  We provide a decent stable home, food, clothing, medical care, all educational needs, and much more besides.

ORFUND - - SMALL ORGANISATION, BIG IDEAS:  Orfund has a small office, staffed only by unpaid volunteers; in this way ALL sponsor donations and funds raised go to the children's projects we support.  Minimum administration - maximum effect.

MAKING SURE NOT MAKING SORRY:  Sponsorship costs just £16 a month - not so much in the developed world, but it goes a long way in developing countries.  We give our time freely to make sure ALL the Sponsor giving gets to the needy and the needy get what they need - monitoring our friends in every aspect of their spending.  Our partners also have regular visits from supporters; corroborating the healthy and happy homes they run.

RUNNING AN ORPHANAGE OR FOSTER HOME - A CALLING, NOT A BUSINESS:  We have helped not only pastors, but also many ordinary people to become home providers for orphans in several developing countries.  We do not believe in setting up institutions, but rather empowering dedicated groups and families to realise their potential.  Children need minimum bureaucracy and maximum love.

For homes applying for partnership, please note: we are aware of many scams where homes are set up to collect from multiple foreign donors; children are used to entice visitors; and even where there are only children when sponsors visit!  Orfund only undertakes tightly controlled report based single partnerships, and any home making application would be very thoroughly checked.
